From Guetamala City to Panajachel
Like Tzununá, Panajachel is a town around Lake Atitlán. To get there from the airport, you have several options:
Shared Shuttle – Approximately $25 (USD)
Shuttle buses from the airport to Panajachel leave 3 times a day. They stop in Antigua Guatemala before heading to Panajachel, taking 4 to 4.5 hours to get there. Shared shuttles leave the airport at the following times:
- 06:00 AM
- 11:00 AM
- 02:30 PM
Direct Shuttle – Approximately $35 p/p (min. 3 people)
The direct shuttle leaves from Aurora Airport at 2:30 pm and goes directly to Panajachel. This service takes 3.5 to 4 hours.
Private Taxi or UBER – Approximately $125
You can book a private taxi through an agency at the airport, schedule an Uber ride, or arrange a taxi as soon as you exit the airport. Either of these services will take 3 to 3.5 hours.

From Panajachel to Tzununá
If you took a private service, ask the driver to drop you off near the San Pedro dock, also known as Tzunajuyu (otherwise, just ask the driver to point you in the right direction). The “

From Tzununá to The Seed
Once you arrive at the Tzununá dock, you’ll be greeted by a group of young tuk-tuk drivers enthusiastically repeating “taxi?”, “taxi?”. Tell one of them that you’re headed to “Casa Blanca”.
They’ll help you load your bags in a tuk-tuk and take you right to our doorstep. This short ride is GTQ 5 per person (less than $1).
You can also choose to walk. When getting off the main dock in Tzununa, you will need to walk up the road, go past the football field with the clinic on your right and take the first road to your right.
Follow the road over the bridge until you come to a left turn. Take the left and follow the road. If you look up you should see The Seed nestled amongst the greenery. Continue on until you come to our sign on your right.
Via San Marcos la Laguna
Note: The road that takes you directly to San Marcos la Laguna is longer, uneven, and only suitable for 4-wheel-drive cars. If you plan on driving to The Seed, we strongly suggest that you instead drive to Panajachel, park your car there, and take a boat to Tzununá.
If you want to skip the boat and tuk-tuk rides and be taken directly to our doorstep, you can book a direct transfer to San Marcos la Laguna from the airport in Guatemala City and tell the driver that you’re headed to Tzununá. You can give the driver our Google Maps location to make things easier.
If you’re already in San Marcos, all the private shuttles there will gladly take you to our doorstep, just ask them to drop you off at “Casa Blanca” in Tzununá.
Antigua Guatemala is the tourist hub of the country and nearly all transportation runs through here.
Shuttles leave every hour from the airport to Antigua, they cost GTQ 100 per person (less than $15), and take anywhere between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to get to Antigua, depending on traffic.
From Antigua, you can either take the 9 am or the 12 am private or collective shuttle direct to Panajachel. The price is also GTQ 100 per person and the ride takes about 2.5 hours.
We Can Arrange Everything For You
Transportation is not included in the group rates; however, we are happy to arrange and track all your incoming and outgoing ground transportation through our trusted transfer services.
A private shuttle from the airport to Panajachel is $120 for 1-3 people ($35 per person if there are 4 or more) and a private boat is $30 for 1-4 people ($6 per person if there are 5 or more).
